Title notes imperatively or declaratively

When writing titles for zettelkasten-style notes aim to use either an imperative or a declarative title.

Where a note describes a relationship, the title should reflect this by being declarative. Declarative titles apply pressure for you to strongly back up your claim, and when titled well should immediately suggest the content of the note. An example: Understanding requires ideas to have context.

Where a note describes a best practice or behaviour use an imperative title. Similarly to with declarative titles, an imperative title involves a pressure to provide a satisfying reason. An imperative title also pushes your notes towards drawing conclusions rather than fust restating details, while making it clearer when conflicts exist between different notes or points of view.
